Good early morning, My Bright Ray of Sunshine 🌅 How are you doing?

🦐 I am organized for the road. Six hours of drive time to Waurika for the rattlesnake roundup. And another two back to Barb’s for the night. Sooooo, I’m getting started early (it’s 4:45 am as I get started on sending my report) 🥹😳🤣

🦐 Yesterday we chose to drive a mere 68  miles to Galveston see the Gulf of Mexico/America. To satisfy the need to have a meal there, we opted for Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company Restaurant and Market…

🦐 There was an awful lot of road construction going down and GPS didn’t seem to know about it!  It was a bit frustrating to drive on some very narrow frontage roads, while repeatedly being told to take an exit that was not there🥴

🦐 Indeed we did reach our destination and landed our first experience with crawfish! Absolutely do not expect to do that again! Unless I can find some larger ones… Google says:

🦐 “Crayfish, also known as crawfish, typically range in size from 1 to 6 inches in length, with some species, like the Tasmanian giant freshwater crayfish, reaching up to 24 inches and weighing over 10 pounds.” Yea, the big ones😂

🦐 It took only minutes to experience the beach and waves of the Gulf waters. That’s all I needed… now I’ve been there, done that!  Besides, I wanted to be home before dark!  And we made it! The sun was still “high in the sky” as we pulled in at 7:00!
