Iditarod Sled Dogs

Good Morning, Love. Are you a Sweet Puppy 🐶 Lover? 🐾 If so, I think you will love today’s story!

🐾 I am wide awake on too short a night. So gonna send this off and maybe get more sleep before the family’s day gets going.

🐾 Yesterday’s big story was a visit to the Alaska Iditarod Headquarters. E and I experienced a ride on a modified ATV. It was pulled by about ten Huskies who are transported daily from Big Lake (15 miles-ish)

🐾 Owners Riley and his wife pay for the dog’s food and keep them in shape with these rides at $10 per person.

🐾 Then we watched a video about sled dogs and the life they live. They are a breed that LOVES to run. I have seen the way they push at the starting line. They wanna GO!!

🐾 My Ross’s sister raced in Juniors including Fur Rendezvous from 1959 thru 1967. The first Iditarod was 1973.
