Alaska State Fair Champions

🦶 Good morning, my high stepping love… how high CAN you step?😅

🦶 It’s 12:30 🕧 and I’m just now done writing this report! Hoping I can do some more landscaping this very last day of August🪏

🦶 I took my Grandson and his friends to the Alaska State Fair yesterday. My hips were intermittently ok. When ok was mostly when walking slower, tho I did go pretty fast when my legs were rested. I logged 13,500 steps, 4.3 miles! Got home just before 11:00 🕚!!

🦶 I had time to slowly visit a wide variety of displays and events. Took some doing to trim my pics down to just 6 collages, but by 2:00 🕑 in the wee hours I got it done!

🦶 First are the grand champions in the gardening and craft divisions. I was surprised that the largest cabbage this year really was Scott Robb’s at ONLY 84 lbs:

🦶 Some competitors complained that slugs were a major problem during the 2025 growing season, Robb said he keeps them away by vacuuming them off the cabbages. Also:

🦶 Scott holds the 2012 Guinness World Record for the heaviest green cabbage ever grown at 138.25 lbs..

🦶 I could go on & on🥹 My remaining collages are the Monster Truck show, the circus, the Dena’s theatre, rides and much more stuff!

🦶 I just got off the phone with my sister-in-law.. She has enuf medical stuff happening that she will not travel this fall. Looks like I will do New England on my own!

🦶 Another thought: here at my housekeeping location I have no Internet service, but my AT&T reception is pretty strong so I’m using cellular. Pictures go to everybody now!

I got this from my Sweet Sister: “B, daughter of my coworker, seems to be in a domestic violence relationship so continued prayers... but others we dearly love are also victims of domestic abuse. Pray for realization of self worth and the strength and resources to walk away.” 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
