First frost in Wearherly PA

🎃 Good Morning, My Shining Delight. Are you feeling frosty today??

🎃 We woke today to a beautiful layer of first frost on the roofs and fields. I love the sun shining through the trees!! What a glorious way to meet a new day after a good night's sleep😴💤

🎃 Before I forget, you may not have received my last post (Wed/Thurs) 🥹 There is no time to figure it out this morning. I hope to sort it out this evening😳

🎃 Yesterday was a full one! Out the door at 7am to Pennsylvania's capital of Lancaster. Lancaster County is home to the world's oldest and largest Amish settlement! More on that history later.

🎃 First stop was Ashenbach's bakery, home of the Long John. Lucy's hubby asked for a sticky bun, and yes a Long John too! I managed to avoid all but a small taste of their yummys🫢

🎃 By 10:00 we were at the Amish Farm where I milked a cow and sprayed Lucy in a attempt to squirt milk into my mouth. Ahhhh, the memories!! The best milk in the world! Yes, I grew up hand milking cows 🐄

🎃 There were also pigs, calves, kittens, goats, chickens, eggs and corn in the field. We were told that a New Yorker with money bought a bunch of Amish properties and created this tourist industry. I am glad he did, tho I think it's too bad the Amish didn't know to do that!

🎃 We had lunch at the farm, the price for the bbq'd chicken and Cole Slaw were most reasonable. Pictures later!

🎃 Next was some shopping at a wonderful Amish Mall, then at a wholesale company to get things to decorate the kids sleds that Lucy and Bonnie decorate to sell at local craft shows. Again, more later!!

🎃 We wrapped up our long day by joining Lucy's hubby for dinner at La Dolce Casa DiMaggio's. Italian for "the sweet home". It sounded Spanish to me and I was delighted to find a quesadilla on the menu!

🎃 Home to a couple hours of frustration with AirB&B reservations, a dental bill sent my my AZ sister, and my bank needing attention. I did manage some personal messages and a few collages before collapsing into a good night's sleep 😴

🎃 And with that, I'm sending this off.. I thank you for your continued prayers for our family and others who hurt in so many ways. Please keep on praying, too, that my flights will continue to happen as scheduled.
