How big is Alaska?

🍕 Hello, My Dear🦌 How is your day coming along?

🍕 I am at Sis P’s. Have been dozing for a few hours.

🍕 Yesterday wore me out! We wrapped my little suitcase in a black garbage bag and thoroughly taped it.  Did our visit to P’s then found a UPS store and sent the suitcase to P in Alaska.

🍕 Then I spent the evening with P’s oldest son K, his wife S, their son L, his wife S and their 8 months old S. I totally enjoyed my time with them!

🍕 We went to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. It’s 3000 feet long!  I decided it was good enough to walk to the nearby tower (one of two).  There are posters about the bridge, the Missouri River and the Lewis & Clark Historical Trail. I find this history fascinating.

🍕 Then we had pizza in Omaha Old Town. Near as I can figure out,  those buildings and the cobblestone streets date back to the 1850’s. It is very well kept up.

🍕After pizza we drove to the Iowa end of the bridge. There we found a troll and the 33 foot tall statue ‘Looking Up’. It was created by wrapping crushed roasting pans and foil around styrofoam. Before it was done, those had been replaced by stainless steel.

🍕 Back at V’s, with only 3700 steps, I was exhausted and choose bed over collages. Got a fair night’s sleep. Woke up at 4:30 and did some phone work.
