Texas flood - people still missing

Friday 7/18/25

🛟 Good morning my love. I hope your Friday is doing well for you.

🛟 I am wide awake at 6am. Maybe my body is getting used to our long daylight hours. When I lived here, I was of the opinion that God gave us as much rest as we needed to do life. Summer require lots of work,  winter not so much. Sleep accordingly!! Hmmm.

🛟 Yesterday was fairly full. Drove to Anchorage. Had lunch at Kriner’s with C & J.  Made a really quick stop at the Natural Pantry. Drove to Palmer and stopped in at a friend’s and got myself some Peonies.

🛟 In town with a little extra time, I drove up the road to our old house where we lived from 1978 to 2007. It was pretty cool to see the house still stands. The colors are the same and the shop that Danny and I had been building still stands.  Our neighbor on the other hand.. his farmhouse is being replaced with some sort of a big building and the field next door is loaded with apartment buildings. In the name of progress😢

🛟 Stopped by to say hi to H and T and then went to Lumpy Ladies swim. There I discovered how hard it is to walk, walk, walk in the water as I have watched some of the ladies do. The hydrostatic pressure creates quite a workout! I think I worked harder last night that I have at any time this year.  Keep moving is one thing, walking against the water pressure is another! I made sure the life guards had their rescue equipment!
